What are the best eco cars that aren’t Tesla? I find the thought of giving Elon Musk any of my money a bit creepy ! 🤣

      • Depends on your budget and requirements, here are some of the most popular over the past year:

        Toyota Prius Prime
        Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid
Mini Cooper SE Hardtop 2 Door
        Nissan LEAF
        Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid
        Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue
        Mazda MX-30
        Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Side not, why don’t you like Elon Musk ?? 😜

        • OK so here’s my 2 cents!

          I actually have the Leaf.

I’ve been driving it for a few months now, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for me.

One of the biggest pros is definitely the fact that it’s an electric vehicle, which means I’m not burning any gas and emitting harmful pollutants. Good for carbon footprint etc. Plus, the fact that I don’t have to visit gas stations anymore is a huge time-saver!

Another great thing about the Leaf is how quiet it is. I’m not kidding when I say that I often forget it’s even on! It’s such a different driving experience than what I’m used to, and I really enjoy it.

There are some cons too. One thing that takes some getting used to is the fact that the battery life can be a bit limiting. I typically get around 150 miles on a single charge, which is plenty for my daily commute, but if I wanted to take a longer trip, I’d have to plan accordingly.

Overall, though, I’m really happy with my decision to go green with the Nissan Leaf. It’s a great car that’s not only good for the environment, but it’s also a joy to drive. If anyone’s on the fence about switching to an electric vehicle, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

Nissan should pay me for this!

          Hope it helps.

        • I’ve been thinking about getting a green car for a while now, but unfortunately, it’s just not financially feasible for me at the moment.

With the cost of living crisis, I simply can’t afford the high price tag that comes with most eco-friendly cars.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing my part for the environment, but I also need to be able to afford to put food on the table and pay my bills. So, for now, I’m sticking with public transportation.

I do believe that eco cars should be more affordable, though. It seems counterproductive that the very cars that are designed to reduce our carbon footprint and protect the environment are only accessible to those with a certain level of financial means.

If we truly want to encourage more people to make the switch to eco-friendly vehicles, we need to find a way to make them more affordable and accessible to everyone. I know that there are already some government incentives and tax breaks in place, but they don’t always make enough of a difference.

          • At least you’re using public transport. I’ve been using a petrol car till I can buy a greener model ☹

            • I think the technology is becoming more cost efficient every year, will ultimately be cheaper than gas guzzlers.

            • I recently got the leaf. Really good car, really happy with it.
